SANITARY LANDFILL OPERATOR THE COUNTY OF RAPPAHANNOCK is seeking applicants to fill the permanent, fulltime position of Sanitary Landfill Operator. The position is responsible for the daily operation of the Rappahannock County Sanaitary Landfill Facility located on Rt. 639 in Rappahannock County. Duties include opening and closing the facility at scheduled times, assisting County residents in using the facility in accordance with adopted procedures, and keeping accurate records of number of patrons and volume of disposed waste. The Operator shall bear immediate responsibility that the terms and conditions of Department of Waste Management Permit Number 320, are met and shall report directly to the County Administrator on all matters relating to the Facilities’ operation. The successful applicant should be familiar with heavy equipment operation and/or earthmoving or landfilling techniques. Public relations skill and experience in management helpful. Successful applicant shall undergo such specialized training as the County deems appropriate. Applicants are encouraged to submit a resume or list of qualifications and/or to contact John W.
