I went into the house to read the skunk page in the animal book. I learned how the skunk is a beneficial animal, feeding on mice and insects. It gives ample warning when disturbed. It presents its rear end, slowly raises its black and white tail, thumps its front feet for a while, and then, if you do not retreat, it sprays.
