The funeral was held Sept. 2 at the Flint Hill United Methodist Church with the Rev. Merlin Shorb and the Rev. Ronald Gore officiating. Burial was in Flint Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Steve Welch, Dale Welch, Donnie Welch, Mike Welch, Roger Welch and Bill Welch.
Honorary pallbearers were Lynn Thompson, Claude Foster, Charles Foster, J. P. Walters, George Grimsley, Randolph Foster, Bryant Welch, Julian Welch, John Eubank, John Jenkins and Robert Ramey.
