Around the village Mr. and Mrs. Billy Fannon of Laurel Hill Farm enjoyed having daughter Beth home for the weekend. She attends college in Tulsa, Oklahoma where she is studying to be an interpreter for the deaf. She will graduate in December. They are very proud of her. On Monday the Fannons hosted the fifth annual company picnic for Clifford Kline, owner of The Wharf restaurant in Alexandria; he also has another restaurant in Alexandria as well as one restaurant in Richmond. Beth is a former employee of The Wharf.
