John Hammond in concert
On Sunday, March 11, John Hammond, the legendary blues guitarist, returns to the Gay Street Theatre in Washington, alter playing to a sell-out crowd on his last appearance here. Show time will be 7 p.m. Tickets are $8.50 general admission and $10 at the door. Tony Rice returns
On Friday and Saturday, March 23 and 24, Tony Rice returns to the Gay Street Theatre for two nights! A virtuoso guitarist, Rice’s style combines bluegrass, jazz and folk in both vocal and instrumental forms. Show times are at 8 p.m. both nights and tickets will be $10 in advance and $12 at the door. Lions Club auction
The Lions Club will hold its annual benefit auction on Saturday, May 12 at the Washington fire hall, beginning at 6 p.m. Residents are asked to save their usable items for donation to this event. More information will be available shortly about pick-ups of donations; watch this space for details.
