Chester Gap carnival
The Chester Gap Volunteer Fire < Departments fir&RgHters carnival will be held Julf22-25.
Performances during the week will include, Wednesday night, Gary Desper and the Page County Ramblers from 8-9 p.m. and from 10-11 p.m.; Thursday night, Stonebridge will perform for two shows also at 8-9 p.m. and 10-11 p.m.; Friday night Shenandoah will perform 8-9 p.m. Sind 10-11 p.m.; and on Saturday, Jerry Williams and the Mystic Sound will perform 8-9 p.m. and 10-11 p.m.
The 7th annual horseshoe pitch will be held beginning at noon Saturday.
Also, on Saturday night box suppers will be available, and the department's grand prize will be given away. "There will be games, food and fun for all. Come, help support your local fire department," said an organizer.
'Great Races1 at Library
The race is on! Join the Rappahannock County Library's Reading Team and become a gold-medal reader. Inspired by the Olympics, storyteller Mike Dunnigan will present a program on "Great Races" at 10 a.m. July 22. Children of all ages are invited to come to the library and "Reach for it. Read!"
