In other police news last week:
• Two men were charged with possession of marijuana after Virginia State Trooper G.T. Settle stopped their 1978 Pontiac Firebird for speeding on U.S. 211. Settle reported that when he approached the car he observed drug paraphernalia in plain view, and a subsequent search of the car revealed suspected marijuana.
Choi Kim, 23, of Olney, Md., and William Jenkins, 23, of Silver Springs, Md., were both charged with possession of marijuana.
