Classes offered
Young people are invited to take classes this summer at the Fauquier Campus of Lord Fairfax Community College in Warrenton. Courses include keyboarding, public speaking, watercolor painting, babysitting, and tie-dying. Laurie Marshall will be offering the “Drawing from Your Imagination” class at the Fauquier Camppure from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. July 12-16 and July 20-23 for grades 4-9. Alumni baseball game
There will be an alumni baseball game at 4 p.m. at Rappahannock High School on Saturday, July 11. So all of you old timers that feel that urge to try it one more time, call David (Scratch) Clanagan at 987-8937 after 5 p.m.
This game will benefit the Rappahannock Monarchs baseball team. A small fee of $3 for audits and $2 for children is requested. “We are asking for everyone to come out and help us to keep mens baseball alive in Rappahannock County,” said Mr. Clanagan.
Dwyer family reunion
The second annual Dwyer family reunion will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, July 19 at the Washington fire hall. Lunch will be served at 2 p.m. Everyone is asked to bring a covered dish and beverage. For more information call 987-8471.
Free yoga classes
A loose and loyal group of yoga practitioners meet from 6-7 p.m. every Monday evening at the Middle Street Gallery. Contestants sought
The Flint Hill Volunteer Fire and Rescue Company will sponsor a Little Miss (ages 3-11) and a Miss carnival queen (ages 12-18). Support group forming
A support group affiliated with the Virginia Head Injury Foundation is now being formed for head injury survivors and their families in J this area. If you are interested in joining or helping with the founding of this group call Pat Salmon at 675-3137. <
Trip to Myrtle Beach

Crafters sought
The Orange County Fair is seeking craftspeople for the 19th annual Orange County Fair at historic Montpelier in Orange County on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, July 24-26.
Grafters can reach 10,000 people during the three days at Montpelier, which is the home of former U.S. President James Madison.
