'Great Mouse Detective' to be shown
"Great Mouse Detective," Rated G, will be shown at the Theatre at Washington, Va. on Sunday, the weekly RAAC-sponsored movie.
In this 1987 Disney movie the mysterious kidnapping of the master toymaker sets into motion this entertaining, comic animated feature about Great Mouse Detective, Basil. Our detective hero matches wits with his old rival, the villainous professor, Ratigan. The film is highlighted with a vibrant musical score by Henry Mancini and the plot is filled with adventure, humor and fun.
Coming to The Theatre RAAC movie series: "Radio Flyer," July 19 and "My Own Private Idaho," July 26.

Middle Street Gallery located in Washington, Va. invites artists and wood workers to submit works for jurying into "The Wood Show," Aug. 1 -30. The exhibit will be judged by William Hammersley, Head of Woodworking of the art school at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Va.
