The featured dog at the Shelter in Amissville this week is Fluffy, a five-year-old spayed female, very sweet Eskimo Spitz, weighs about 25 pounds. Other dogs available this week include: • Collie/shepherd, one-year-old male named Mute, shots up to date, black and tan; • German shepherd cross, two-year-old male, black and tan, wearing a black collar, found on Rt. 639, landfill in Amissville; • Shepherd/lab, black male, six-month-old puppy, found on Rt. 707, Slate Mills; • Collie, six-month-old male named Prince; • Red bone, three-month-old female, very sweet; • Foxhound cross, white-with brown spots, three-month-old male, playful; • Beagle cross, one-year-old female, found on Rt. 628 near Flint Hill; • Foxhound, two-year-old female, tri-color, found in Sperryville; • Bench-leg beagle, four to-five-year-old male, found on Rt. 640, Amissville. Also avaiable is a black and white neutered male cat with all of his shots. The shelter is open from 9:30 a.m.-3 p.m. on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday and from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday.
