There should be a hot election for Mayor of Washington, town treasurer and the Town Council this May. ;
Mayor Dean Morehouse has decided to run for re-election, and he will be opposed by Stewart Willis, who has not previously sought town elective office.
Louise van Dort will be running for treasurer of the town. Tomas L. Zumwalt has filed to oppose her.
Neither has previously run for elective office in town.
Eight people will be vying for the five seats on the town council. Newbill Miller and Janice Moffett are the only holdovers from the current council. The six other names on the ballot will be Doris Critzer, Steve Critzer, Reinhardt Lynch, Florence
