On behalf of the Rappahannock County Music Boosters, we would like to thank all of you who supported the citrus fundraiser. Our program is growing rapidly and proceeds will go toward new music, instruments, and uniforms.
There are many people without whom this venture would have been1 impossible. Foremost, we would like to thank Mr. Gordon Thornhill and the employees of the Rappahannock Farmers’ Cooperative. They unloaded the shipment, directed our customers to the warehouse, and “kept and eye” on the fruit when we could not be there. Liz Blubaugh, Roger Flinchum, Harald Havstad, and Sally Havstad made our distribution process smooth even when the pace was hectic! Also, there t were many students who cheerfully lifted and passed out the heavy boxes in the cold weather. Our thanks go to Christy Beach, Chris Beck, Ian Blubaugh, Shannon Cordani, Dawn Havstad, Bonnie Jewell, Susan Jewell, John Paolicelli, Sherry Jo Shaw, and Trey Smith.

[ To the Editor:
When I walk downtown with my mother we always stop at the Country Cafe to get ice cream.
I don’t really know many people who work at the Cafe but it the best place to eat at in town. Acutally it’s the best place to eat in the whole state.
When my mom says its time to go for a walk. We immediately scream “No!” But when she says I will get you an ice cream at the cafe we change our minds.
I hope that when I am old and gray The Country Cafe is still there.

I am writing to report to the citizens of Rappahannock and Culpeper counties on the issue of the Tier III nomination of the Hazel River.
The completed nomination was sent in early in December, and will be in the review process in the next few months.
Thanks to all who joined in the effort so far, we have a nomination in with many beautiful letters and photos.
