I am researching my ancestors of the Amissville area in Rappahannock county. I am hoping your readers may be able to help me in my research.
My great-great-great-grandfather, John Bragg was bom between 1810 and 1820, possibly in Fauquier or Culpeper county. (Was he the son of Joseph Bragg and Triphena Poe, married in 1808 in Fauquier county?) John married Lucy Ann Rollins, daughter of Thomas and Eleanor RoUins. Two children were bom to John and Lucy Bragg: Thomas Joseph in 1839 and Sarah in 1841.
In 1840, John Bragg lived with his family in Rappahannock county, but I can find no trace of him after this. Lucy died in 1891.
Thomas Joseph Bragg enlisted in the 49th Regiment with the Rappahannock Rifles during the Civil War and served four years. In 1867 he married Rachael Creel, daughter of David and Delilah Creel. Children bom to this union were: Sallie, Anne, David, Lillie, Martha, Charles, John and Rachael. Thomas Bragg died around 1912 and Rachael Bragg died around 1922.

On Feb. 24, Junior Varsity teams from four Bull Run District School’s played in the Semi-Final Round of The District Championship Basketball Tournament at Clarke County High School in Benyville.
Three of the competing teams, Bentsville, Central and George Mason, were accompanied by cheerleadings squads which did their best to inspire their players. Rappahannock was not. I thought the fundamental purpose of having
