The Ben Venue owner-rider timber race at the March 5 Rappahannock Hunt Point-to-Point in Sperryville is certain to offer plenty of drama and suspense: the question is whether or not Henry Wood’s ’93 series champion Topeador can notch his fourth victory at the Thornton Hill Farm course.

Post time is set for noon at the hillside oval, with seven horse races, a pony race and the Great Rappahannock Hound Race slated to fill the varied card. A full day of timber and flat racing action will prevail if the snow doesn’t force postponement of the event.

The owner-rider timber headlines the card, and Topeador wall undoubtedly have a big box office draw
