The 4-H Share-the-Fun Talent Show is an opportunity for youth to participate in a creative and performing arts program.

“One evening each year is set\ aside to celebrate the many talents of youth in Rappahannock County,” commented Helen W. Smith, Extension Agent.

“After several rehearsals where they are coached on their acts, they present a talent show for parents, grandparents, 4-H leaders, and the general public who enjoy watching the children perform,” she continued.

The 1994 program was held Friday, Feb. 25 at RCHS under the direction of Hazel Zinn-Day, 4-H Volunteer Leader.

‘This year for the first time we had our 4-H Cloverbuds (children ages 5-8 years, pre-4H age) perform,” commented Mrs. Smith. “Hazel Zinn-Day is the volunteer leader for the 4-H Colverbud Club, and she directed them in performing “Puff the Magic Dragon.”

Blue ribbon - Matthew Payne -piano solos “Again” by Janet Jackson and “At the End of the Sea,” which Matthew composed himself

Red ribbon - Bonnie Jewell, Jon Heddleston, Theresa Hudson and Susan Jewell -a percussion instrumental “Comedian’s Gallop”

Red ribbon - Joy Adams - dance “Halleliyah.”

Juniors:

Blue ribbon - Lauren Thornhill - piano solo “Bells are Ringing”

Red ribbon - Berkeley Hobson and Kate May - skit “The Papers”
