Once a month they update their feeding amounts according to the weight of their cattle. They both recommend the program very highly. “Being efficient is the name of the game,” said Mr. Welch.
“Not everyone is misfeeding their animals. This program is just a tool to see what their animals are using and to try to save money through proper feed utilization,” said Scott Cunningham, Rappahannock County Extension Agent. Mr. Cunningham has the program for the office computer, and farmers can contact the extension office if they are interested in learning more about the program or using it themselves.
