A prisoner escaped out the kitchen window from the Rappahannock County Jail last Sunday night.
James Riley Williston, 26, of Washington, who would have been eligible for parole around January 1, 1995, tied a rope to a leg of the freezer and lowered himself out the window just above Sheriff Woodward’s office. The rope was short, and he had to jump at least 15 feet to the ground.
