The marriage of Carolyn Diane Lee to John Wayne Childrey, Jr. took place Saturday, April 30 at Washington Baptist Church.

The double ring ceremony was performed by Rev. Darrell Bare.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas E. Lee Sr. of Washington. 1

The bridegroom is the son of Ms. June Childrey of Manassas and Mr. John W. Childrey Sr. of Washington.

The bride was given in marriage by her father and brothers and wore a white cotton brocade off the shoulder Victorian gown which featured long sleeves, pearl edging, a basque waist and a chapel train.

She carried a cascading bouquet consisting of burgundy roses, pink tulips, reubrum lifiies, dusty ivy and pearl springes.

Her mid-waist veil featured pearl spriges and a wreath.

The maid of honor was Miss Amy Noakes, friend of the bride of Flint
