To the Editor.
In this world full of chaos and pain, sometimes there is good news. The American State Department in the Czech Republic changed its mind and agreed to allow Bosnian Amira Skaljic’s children to accompany their father to the United States, where their mother is receiving treatment for cancer. v
As of today, the family is united, staying in a house donated by the Currier family in The Plains. Amira’s husband had been separated from his wife and children for a year and half when the last convoy of women and children was let out of Sarajevo by the Serbs.
Many people collaborated so that this family could be together during an hour of need. Special thanks go to
