Catherine Heritage, cm case Manager for the circuit court system in Rappahannock County, who has an office in Fauquier County, said “CDI is a non-profit program dedicated to the rehabilitation of non-violent offenders. Once prisoners are placed in CDI, execution of their sentencea is suspended if they agree to follow the terms of a treatment plan that is developed for them.” She also said that some of the terms often include unpaid community service, restitution to the victim, and substance abuse treatment. CDI is funded through the Department of Corrections.
