Grandma's Attic Sale

A Grandma’s Attic Sale will be held on the Fourth of July in conjunction with the customary society activities that day.

Tennis Clinics Planned

The Rappahannock County Park Authority is scheduling tennis clinics to be held during the months of July and August for juniors and adults (beginners, intermediates and advance classes). Hunt Harris, the local Pro will be conducting the clinics. The cost will be $6 for juniors and $8 for adults for each one hour clinic with a minimum of four per group. Reunion Planned

The Butler-Thornhill-Weaver reunion will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, June 26 at Rappahannock Park near Washington.

Chester Gap Carnival

Chester Gap Volunteer Fire Department will hold its annual carnival July 7, 8 and 9. Activities planned include a Womanless Beauty Contest on Thursday; 8 and 10 p.m. performance by Pure Country on Friday and 8 and 10 p.m. performance by Mystic Sound on Saturday, as well as crowning of Honorary Fire Chief and drawing of prizes. The community is urged to support the event.

Friends Prepare For Book Sale

The Friends of the Rappahannock County Library are getting ready for this years 4th of July Book Sale. The Friends are looking for volunteers to help sort the donated books. Each year the Library receives thousands of donated books but few children’s books. If you have any books you are willing to donate please drop by the Rappahannock County Library or call 675-3780. The Library does not accept textbooks or Readers Digest condensed books, but will accept all other books, j
