Blend in water. Cook, stirring constantly until thickened and smooth. Add cherries and orange peel and cook 10 minutes. Add brandy. Pour into hot,' sterilized jars and seal. Process in a boiling water bath 10 minutes. Makes 4 pints. The sauce 'i can be served cold over ice cream or ' heated through and flamed with additional brandy.
