Breakfast and Bingo
Castleton Volunteer Fire Department will be having breakfast from 7:30 a.m.-12 noon on Sunday, Oct. 2. Breakfast will consist of bacon, sausage, eggs, potatoes, etc. Prices are $5 for adults and $2.50 for children under 12.
Bingo will be played at 1 p.m. following the breakfast on Oct. 2. There will be a $700 jackpot if 75 or more people play. If less than 75 play the jackpot will be $500. Flexercise Glasses
A 12-week series of aerobic/flexercise classes will begin at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 19. Classes will be held Mondays and Thursdays at Rappahannock Elementary School from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Fee for the class is $65. Beginners are welcome. Call Roseann Sharp at 6753887, evenings for more information.
Dodson Reunion Set
The reunion of the late Ernest and Neva Nicholson Dodson will be held at the Rappahannock Park beginning at 10 a.m. on Sept. 18. All relatives and friends are invited and are asked to bring a picnic lunch.
Boosters To Meet
The Rappahannock County High School Athletic Booster Club will meet at 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 19 at the high school. Anyone interested in joining is welcome.
Bake Sale Planned
The Piedmont Feline Rescue League will be having a bake sale at the Rappahannock Coop from 7:30-12 noon on Sept. 17. Homemade pies, cakes, bread and cookies will be sold.
Cub Scouting School Night
Pack 123 and Shenrapawa District of Shenandoah Council are announcing that School Night will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 22 at Rappahannock County Elementary School. Boys between the ages of six years old (first grade Tiger Cubs) and 10 years old (five grade-second year Webelos) are invited to come with a parent or guardian and join the Cub Scouts. Adults will also be encouraged to join as adult leaders and help to build Pack 123 into the best and most exciting pack in Shenrapawa District. I
A representative from the local boy scout troops will also be invited to attend so any boys or young men who wish to join the Boy Scouts may do so at this time. If you have any questions you may call David Riedel at 675-3638.

Meeting, Cookout Set

Apple Butter Making Planned
The Flint Hill Volunteer Fire and Rescue will be making apple butter Oct. 15 and 22. The price will be $4.50 per quart. Call Connie Huff-Harris at 675-3389 to place an order or to donate quart jars. Also on Oct. 15 chicken barbecue dinners will be sold on the carnival grounds.

GED classes on public television will begin at 8 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 19 on WNVT, the Fairfax station. The half-hour sessions will be broadcast on Mondays and Wednesdays. To register for the classes and receive the books that go along with the lessons, call Laura Doyle at 1-800-237-0178.

Safety Course Offered
A hunters safety course will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 24 and from 1-6 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 25 at the Castleton fire hall. The course is offered free of charge. To register call Jim Bankston at 937-5192.
Cemetery Day
Notice to our kindred; i.e., Bolens, Pullens, Dwyers, Gaunts, -Baileys, Baldwins, Clatterbucks, Kindalls and others...we are planning an excursion to the Bolen Cemetery on Saturday, Oct. 8. We will be in need of several 4x4 vehicles.
