Barbara Tinger - Carolton Farm and Fiber
Carolton Farm and Fiber is a sheep farm and studio owned and operated by Gordon and Barbara Tinder. In the studio Barbara spins, weaves, dyes, and knits wool. She gives demonstrations and conducts educational classes as well as exhibiting at local events. This June Barbara resigned her full time position in Madison County to devote all of her time to their business. Her marketing efforts include: hiring a public relations firm to help get into catalogs, installing a toll free line, and offering Visa and MasterCard. Over the years she has developed her own mailing list of4500.
