Fund for Shannon
\ Anyone interested in making a tax deductible contribution to the Shannon Shrader fund can mail their check and make it payable to “Project Rainbow,” Route 1 Box 257, Sperryville, Va. 22740.
All of the contributions will be placed in the fund to help Shannon and her family visit Disney World. For more information call Hazel Zinn-Day at 937-3185.
Giving
The Social Services Department reminds us that this is the season for giving to those less fortunate in our county. “We’ve already had lots of requests,” said Marie Davis, office manger.
Send donations of money or nonperishable food to social services. Individuals or groups can also adopt a family and learn the ages and sizes of family members.
Bring donations to the Social Services Department between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Contributions may also be mailed to P.O. Box 87, Washington, Va. 22747.
“We would like to have all the donations in by Thursday, Dec. 15,” Mrs. Davis said. Call 675-3313 for further information.
