Amissville Baptist Church will open its “Clothes Closet” in the fellowship hall from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Dec. 10. Clothes available for those in need include sizes for men, women and childen, some coats. These items are not for resales.

The Women’s Group at Amissville Baptist will meet from 10-11:30 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 9. You’re invited to join them for a Christmas Cookie Exchange. Bring three-four dozen cookies with the recipe for exchanging. For more details call Linda Torrance at 937-4752.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Gilbert Dennis family. Mr. Dennis died last Tuesday. He was a special friend and neighbor.

Mr. Jesse Yates suffered a mild stroke last Tuesday. He has returned home from the hospital.

With deer season in, a word of caution. Please examine yourself upon return for deer ticks. They are tiny and may carry lyme disease. If the bite has a bull’s eye appearance see your physician. One local resident js undergoing treatment for lyme disease following two bites last Monday, Nov. 21.

Massanova Pentecostal Church will hold its Christmas pageant “Christmas Until” at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 4. Pastor Savage invites everyone to attend.
