The following news is from the Thanksgiving holiday and weekend.
Mrs. Janet Peregory returned to her home on Route 615 last Monday after a stay of 12 days in Fauquier Hospital following major surgery. Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Burke of Rochelle, laden with baskets of food arrived that afternoon to visit and serve supper to the Peregory family. Mrs. Alvin Atkins of Sperryville was a Wednesday overnight guests of her niece, Mrs. Peregory and family.
Deep sympathy is extended to the Fannon family upon the loss of Mrs. Hazel Fannon who passed away at her home in Castleton on Saturday.
Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Filyo, Jr. of Gaithersburg, Md. were Thanksgiving holiday guests of Mr. Filyo’s grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Wood at Dun-Looking.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Duncan accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Bill Duncan and family of Luray spent the Thanksgiving holidays with their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Don Padgett in Fairfax.
