Amissville Baptist Activities Amissville Baptist Church will open its “Clothes Closet” in the fellowship hall from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Dec. 10. Clothes available for those in need include sizes for men, women and children, some coats. These items are not for resale. The Women’s Group at Amissville Baptist will meet from 10-11:30 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 9. You’re invited to join them for a Christmad cookie exchange. Dance at AVFD The Amissville Volunteer Fire Department will have a dance from 9 p.m.-l a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 17. The band will be “Outbach.” For more details call 937-4357.
Christmas Dinner Planned The Washington Volunteer Fire Department will have their Colonial Christmas dinner at the fire hall beginning at 5 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 3. The menu will be ham and turkey, peas, mashed potatoes, gravy, dressing, sweet potatoes, homemade rolls, pie, coffee and tea. Prices will be $10 for adults and $5 for children.
Santa Claus and Photos Planned For those who believe, there will be a Santa Claus at The Mountain Store in Criglersville between the hours of 2 and 5 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 17. Please bring your lists, also a list of what you would like your Mom and Dad to have for Christmas. After all, this is the season for giving! Santa Appearing Santa will be at the Flint Hill Public House from 2-4 p.m. on Dec. 10 and 11. The event is sponsored by the Rappahannock Lion’s Club.
