cer game. At station 10 Mr. Eastham hurls out what he calls “stealth targets,” two smaller black targets that cross each other’s path and appear grey as they spin against the backdrop of rolling hills. At station 11 the two targets rise high and then arc down.
When a target is hit, sometimes it explodes. At other times a smaller orange piece flies off. Station 13 is another “hare and a feather.”
Mr. Eastham is kept busy throughout, loading and firing targets, and on Sunday also keeping score. The shoot over, some are ready for another round; others head off for other Sunday activities.
Shooters bring their own shotguns and shells. A round costs $15. Mr. Eastham has organized the “Big Woods Hunt Club" among his regular customers. For members a ticket good for 10 shoots costs $125.
