The RCHS Aluinni Basketball Tournament Championship went to the Royal Blue team coached by Walter Frye.

Clarence Pendleton from that team received the tournament’s “most valuable player” trophy for his “good all around game and sportsmanship.”

The blue team won the championship with a daunting 76 to 49 victory over the jade green team coached by Gary Settle. Daniel Vander Kolk was high scorer for the blue team with 13 points followed by Michael Ray Williams with 12. Butch Foster scored 12 points for the green team.

In Saturday night’s other game the red team coached by Mike Payne defeated the grey team coached by Mike Atkins 55 to 53. That game was tight throughout with a number of time outs in the last seconds.
