ton Fire Hall girls in Ginger Estes’s Brownie Troop 2021 will be caroling from a wagon drawn by horses wearing sleigh bells.
There will also be special concerts. Trapezoid, the county’s best known musical group, will present concerts at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday nights at Ki Theatre. The concert celebrates the release of “Long Time Down This Road,” Trapezoid’s 20th anniversary retrospective available on CD and cassette. The music will include selections from this release and special music for the season. Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door. Children are half price. At The Theatre at Washington there will be a concert Saturday evening by the Smithsonian Chamber Players. This concert will include early carols and Baroque period music for the season. Tickets are $13.50 in advance, $15 at the door. Call 675-1253 for information or to make reservations. The concert begins at 8 p.m. with a pre-concert talk by James Weaver about early Christmas music beginning at 7:30 p.m.
Food is also an important part of Christmas. The Washington Volunteer Fire Department will be hosting a Christmas dinner Saturday starting at 5 p.m. Ham, turkey and all the trimmings will be available for $10 for adults and $5 for children.
