Respond
To the Editor:
I am so proud and excited to be a part of the Fire and Rescue organization in Rappahannock County. Not only are the members quick to respond to situations where life and property are at risk, but they are equally eager to help when there are other types of needs in the community.
Specifically, their response to the plea from the Shannon Schrader Fund has been, at least to me, nothing less than thrilling. When advised of Shannon’s plight, the County Fire and Rescue Association pledged $100 and that was quickly matched by the companies from Castleton, Flint Hill and Amissville. The remaining companies had to take the proposal to their full membership at their regular monthly business '.ni .‘tings, but they foresaw no problem meeting the Assoication’s challenge.
Again, it makes me so proud to be a member of such a truly community-oriented organization.
