One hundred fifty-two years after his first visit, the British literary genius Charles Dickens returns to Virginia recreating his energetic, theatrical public readings.
“Dickens: The Christmas Tour,” a one-man, one hour show written and performed by Steve Stigwood, will tour 14 theaters, colleges, museums, historic churches and courthouses in eastern Virginia throughout December. As a holiday gift to the community, The Rappahannock Association for the Arts and the Community will present the show at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 18 at The Theatre in Washington. Free tickets are available from the Rappahannock Public Library, The Middle Street Gallery, The Country Cafe, Faith Mountain in Sperryville and Settle’s Grocery in Flint Hill.
