Six lanes on U.S. 211? Four lanes on U.S. 522?
This is what a transportation study of present and future traffic problems prepared by C. Richard Keller of Kellerco for the Rappahannock-Rapidan Planning District Commission seems to suggest is in Rappahannock’s futurp.
Members of the Board of Supervisors received copies of the study at last Monday’s meeting. Members of the Planning Commission also will get copies, and then once these bodies! have had a chance to review the docu- 1 ment, Mr. Keller has offered to meet with the two bodies in a joint public meeting and present alternatives for their consideration.
Labeled Technical Memo #la, the document includes maps showing current traffic patterns, traffic volume counts both current and projected and areas identified for further study. At the joint public meeting, Mr. Keller is offering to present Technical Memo #2a with “alternative long range highway system concepts.”
The plan maps include the route of a Sparry ville bypass prepared by VDOT but not recommended by the Board of Supervisors. It
