Santa To Appear
Santa will be at the Viewtown Market in Viewtown on Friday, Dec. 16. He is scheduled to appear at 7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 16. All area children are invited.
Santa Claus and Photos Planned
For those who believe, there will be a Santa Claus at The Mountain Store in Criglersville between the hours of 2 and 5 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 17. Please bring your lists, also a list of what you would like your Mom and Dad to have for Christmas. After all, this is the season for giving! There will be a small gift for each child, and pictures will be taken. Call Lottie Richards at 923-4349 if you have any questions.
Photo Exhibit Scheduled
Starting at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 17 there will be the openning of a photo exhibit of Madison County at The Mountain Store in Criglersville in the second floor gallery. The photos are a collection of 30 black and white photos taken by Dr. McCoy. This will be the first time his work has been exhibited for the public. Refreshments will be served, come and enjoy a wonderful collection of views of Madison County.
Dance at AVFD
The Amissville Volunteer Fire Department will have a dance from 9 p.m.-l a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 17. The band will be “Outbach.” For more details call 937-4357.
Play To Be Presented
The Three Kings’ Play will be presented at 5 p.m. on Dec. 17 and 18. Tickets are available at The Country Cafe, Mountainside Market, New Leaf Books, Royal Oak Books, Culpepr Music or call Ki Theatre at 675-1615. Prices are adults, $5, children $2.50, advanced ticketing recommended.
Students Selling Trees
The Students Against Drunk Driving will be selling white pine Christmas trees for $20 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Dec. 17 in front of the Rappahannock High School. For more information call Susan Fox at 987-8575.
Babysitting Available
Amissville United Methodist Church Youth Group will be babysitting from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Dec. 17. No fees, but donations will be accepted. Adults will be supervising. For more information call 9374222.
CSC Transit Will Not Operate
CSC Transit will not operate on Monday, Dec. 19 an agency inservice day. CSC Transit is a program of the Rappahannock-Rapidan Community Services Board.
