In memory of jerry Lee Jenkins Who departed this world on November 5,1993 A thousand times we have wondered why We didn't get to say good-bye A thousand times we have cried Because we 'll never know why you died We didn't know your pain was so strong I guess we will never know what went wrong But brother, we do know. that we miss you so Although what really transpired on that fateful night Is still a mystery to us We know you couldn 't have left us on your own That is what hurts us so bad An unknown force took you away from us That we cannot change But brother, know whose company you are now sharing And that is what gives us comfort No matter why you were taken from us You are now finally at rest But it still saddens us that you left us so young You always had a smile or a word of encourgement And you were loved by so many Mother always said you were happy-go-lucky So who would have ever thought That you would be the first to join her In her home in the sky I can only imagine the look on her face When you walked through heaven's gate ‘ So through this Christmas holiday We try to keep our spirits up ; But brother, it's going to be hard Without your usual thoughtful support, family spirit, And sense of humor You are so terribly missed by so many. Very much missed by family and friends
