Food baskets for the needy in our community are being sponsored by the Amissville Baptist Church, Bethel Baptist, United Methodist, and, Ruritan Club. Anyone desiring to participate in this project may leave canned and boxed goods at Hackley’s Store or Mayhugh’s Store.
Anyone desiring to donate a turkey or ham may call coordinator Dorothy Hackley at 937-4822. Monetary donations may be mailed to Mrs. Hackley at F.O. Box 75, Amissville 22002. Please leave your items by Monday, Dec. 19.
Amissville Baptist will go caroling in the community on Dec. 17. Their Christmas Cantata and Children’s Play will be held at 6 p.m. on Dec. 18. There will be no Sunday School on Dec. 25; however, a worship service will be held at 10 a.m., not 11 a.m.
