The Rappahannock County FSA (formerly ASCS) office is slated to be combine with the Culpeper office. The time frame is presently unknown, however it is scheduled to occur within the next three years.
The major disadvantage of the office closing would be the inconvenience and additional travel time necessary to conduct agrictural business in Culpeper as compared to the local office in Washington. However most county producers seem resigned to the eventual office consolidation.
