Not only was Lee Bird’s charming letter of thanks to his constituents fun to read just on general principles, it wanned my Republican heart in ways he may not have intended. You can not imagine how please I was to learn that not only was there a Democratic contingent wanting to get Sharp with the old Congress, but one twice as large that wanted even more than I did to give it the Bird.

To the Editor:
We are writing on behalf of the Hadziomerovic family of Sarajevo, Bosnia, who just arrived in the Warrenton area last week. Mr. Hadziomerovic has only recently been reunited with his family after living the last twro years in Sarajevo. His wife and two children spent those years in a refugee camp in the Czech-Republic. He spent this past summer in Warrenton with is sister whom he lost to cancer in July.
The family is here with the hope of a new start and will be seeking political asylum in the U.S. They are well-educated, creative and eager to find work to support this new phase of their lives.
The situation in their Bosnian homeland is critical and offers them no secure future at this time. Their niece and nephew are living with a family in Warrenton. These two
