i 1 cup chopped pecans 1 3/4 cups mashed banana 1/2 cup chopped pecans Cream cheese frosting Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine first five ingredients in a large bowl. Add eggs and oil, mixing until well blended. Stir in vanilla, pineapple, 1 cup pecans and bananas. Mix well. Pour batter into three greased and floured 9-inch round cake pans. Bake for 23 to 28 minutes, or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cbol in pans 10 minutes; remove and cool completely. Stir 1/2 cup pecans into cream cheese frosting (see recipe below). Spread between layers and on top of cake. Decorate with maraschino cherries and green sprinkles for a festive look.
