mincemeat. Roll up tightly, beginning at 13-inch side. Pinch edge of dough into roll to seal. With sealed edge down, shape into ring on lightly greased cookie sheet. Pinch ends together. With scissors, make cuts 2/3 of tlie way through ring at 1-inch intervals. Turn each section on its side. Bake until golden brown. 20 to 25 minutes. Spread with Lemon Glaze while warm. 8 to 10 servings. Lemon Glaze Beat 1/2 cup powdered sugar and 1 to 2 teaspoons lemon juice until smooth and of desired consistency. 1/4 cup shortening 1 cup packed brown sugar 11/2 cups all-purpose flour 1 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon baking soda 1 cup quick-cooking oats 1 jar (28 ounces) prepared mincemeat

Heat oven to 400 degrees. Mix margarine, shortening and brown sugar. Stir in flour, salt, baking soda and oats. Press half of the crumbly mixture in greased baking pan, 13 x 9x2 inches. Mix mincemeat and walnuts; spread over top. Sprinkle with remaining crumbly mixture; press lightly. Bake until light brown, 25 to 30 minutes. While warm, make a diagonal cut from corner to comer. /Continue cutting parallel to first cut, each about 1 1/2 inches apart. Repeat, cutting diagonally in opposite direction. About 3 1/2 dozen bars.
