young people are the main reason they have chosen to come to Virginia. We fell that the chance they have taken as a family to come to the United States can bear fruit. The beginning of such an endeavor is exciting and full of hope and hard work.
They will be looking for an apartment or house within their means. Although something furnished could be found, we would like to suggest that donations would greatly relieve the burden of starting a new household. To the Editor:
Last year 17,461 people were killed and almost half a million were injuried in impaired driving crashes. Many were innocent victims of persons driving while intoxicated.
As a symbolic show of support on Dec. 16, law enforcement, businesses, government gencies and private citizens nationwide will keep their vehicle headlights on as they drive during the day to remember persons killed and injured in alcoholrelated crashes and as a reminder of law enforcement’s watchful eye on impaired drivers.
“Lights on for Life” is the showcase event for National Drunk and Drugged Driving (3D) Prevention Month, held in December, and “national Holiday Lifesafer Weekend” (Dec. 16-18).
