Kathleen Maier said the vision meeting was “spectacular.” She said the proposed development in Sperryville could be made to serve the needs of people such as the elderly. She said a bypass could benefit the elderly and children in towns.
Peter Kramer added that bypasses could work if development is not allowed along them.

The budget calls for $85,919 in expenses and $70,950 in revenue from Sperryville customers and $10,900 from the Town of Washington. Members said they expect to make up the $4,069 difference by cutting other operating costs and acquiring more customers at the plant.
The bills for sewer customers will remain at $21.50 per month per equivalent dwelling unit. The WSA is currently billing for 275 EDUs, Mr. Johnson said.
