In Rappahannock County Circuit Court last Thursday, Craig Lynn Bruce, 42, of Amissville, pleaded guilty to possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
This case was the subject of a last-minute plea’agreement, as it was set for a bench trial. Even though he pleaded guilty to the charge of possessing a firearm, a .22 rifle, he still maintained his innocence, but said he felt that he would have been found guilty during a trial.
His attorney, Public Defender Roy Bradley, said that a major part of his client’s defense, had the trial taken place, was that Mr. Bruce lived in an apartment in a barn, but that the firearm was discovered in the barn,
