In order to incorporate the performance with one of this year’s themes, “Wiggle Into Reading,” Mrs. Duisit also sang the “Snakey-Pokey,” a medley similar to the “Hokey-Pokey.”
After this she did some silly solos which included “Do Your Ears Hang Low,” and “Do Your Ears Hang High.”
She was then accompanied by the audience as she sang about when to and not to beep the horn. She explained that is appropriate to do so when saying “hi” and when the person in front of you doesn’t know the fights turned red.
What happens when you get bored? You wiggle, giggle and itch. This was the subject of the next song.
Then came a tune about camping followed by another about picking strawberries. “When you think you see some there really are none, and when there really are none you think you think you see some,” she informed the audience about the strawberries.
Her final selection was about a man who liked to travel. The children were encouraged to clap, wave, stretch and do many other things during this song.
On Aug. 2 the library will host the program’s closing awards.
