It does appear that Jay Katzen is at it again.
I just received a notice from my friend Rich Galecki, the Fauquier County Democratic Committee chairman, that Rich has filed a complaint of violations of campaign laws with the State Board of Elections.
This complaint brings to light that Mr. Katzen is using contributions to his 1995 campaign to pay off part of a more than $20,000 debt from his 1993 campaign.
I’m not sure that was what his 1995 contributors intended, but that’s the problem. I have also learned, that in spite of this enormous debt, Mr. Katzen carried forward from the 1993 campaign to the 1995 campaign more than $900.
