There were three bams with room for over 100 animals in each, and lots of people both old and young milling around the grounds for nearly 14 hours a day.
No., it wasn’t the filming of “BonanzaThe Next Generation,” it was the 1995 Culpeper-Madison-Rappahannock Farm Show, held July 19 through 25.
Youth and adults from the three counties showed off their projects during this annual event held in Culpeper.
Livestock exhibitors included Ashley, Zack and Nathan Corbin, David Massie, , Justin, Katie and Scott Updike, Mary Beth Williams, and Melissa Dixon.
Justin and Lindsay Burger, Devin Day, Anne Ashleigh Lamma, Jesse Palmer, Ben Hahn, Tommy Pendleton and Bobbie Jo Brown are all rnembers of the local Cloverbud Club who entered projects both this year and last year.
Their entries were from the crafts, arts, and hobbies categories. All of their projects received ribbons of participation. Kevin Day, Lisa Pendleton and Hazel Zinn-Day entered the photography competition and did extremely well.
Lisa Pendleton also won third place for a wreath she made.
The events kicked off with a watermelon party for exhibitors, parents, leaders and Friends of the Farm Show.
