Estelle Leake
Estelle Josephine I.eake, 92. of Lurav died Friday. Dec. 1 at Mont Vue in Luray.
She was born Nov. 29. 1903, at Luray and was a daughter of the late George Q. and Anita Beahm Atkins.
Mrs. Leake was a homemaker and member of Rocky Branch Baptist Church.
On July 26, 1923, she married Ennis Leake, who died July 5, 1966.
She is survived by four sons, Everett William Leake of Woodstock, Eugene Harvey Leake of McLean, Page Strother Leake of Patuxent, Md. and James Yates “Jim" Leake of Purcellville; three daughters, Anita Nadine Ponn and Julia Ann Leake, both of Luray, and Linda Faye Sylvester of Palm Dale, Calif.
Also surviving are two brothers. Carlton F.. Atkins of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio; four sisters, Marie E. Bruce of Stephens City, Catherine E. Brown of Sperryville, Virginia Campbell and Mae E. Long, both of Luray; 14 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.
A son. Earl Ennie Leake, two brothers, Gayland E. and E. Malcolm Atkins and two sisters. Ethel Clater and Edna Marie Oliver are deceased.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, Dec. 5 at the Bradley Funeral Home in Lurav bv Elder H. Wayne Bryant. Burial was in Beahm’s Chapel Cemeterv. east of Luray.
