Kenneth I. in wood Fristoe Sr., 65. of Warren Countv. died Friday, Dee. 8 in Rockland.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday at the Maddox Funeral Home in Front Royal by the Rev. Jerry Young. Burial was in Panorama Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Fristoe was born Aug. 5, 1930. in Bentonville. son of the late Fmery Otis and Bessie Carlyle Fristoe. He retired after 35 years of service as assistant department head of the Viscose Department at Avtex in Front Royal and had worked for American Viscose Corp. in Frederickburg and Marcus Hook. Pa.
He vvas a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and a member of Giles B. Cook Post 5 3 of the American Legion, and the Moose Lodge 829.
Surviving are his wife. Joan Ann Fristoe; four sons. Kenneth L. Fristoe Jr., of Hagerstown., Md., Terry A. Fristoe of Huntly , Larry D. Fristoe and Kevin G. Fristoe, both of Front 'RoyaLi three brothers. Atley Fristoe of Front Royal, Curtis Fristoe of Vint Hill, and Austin Fristoe of Limeton; two sisters. Doris Cooke of Front Royal and Frances Lowe of Bentonv ille; and four grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Larry LeHew, Roy Cooper. Willis Smith, Fdwin "Butch" Fastham HI. Gary McLanahan and Steve Foster.
Honorary pallbearers were Hartwell Perry, Dr. Thomas Patteson. Dick 'Sheet/. Frank Scars, Garth Payne. Blaine Tewalt and Bill Royston.

Joseph F McCaffrey. 80. of Culpeper died on Dec. 1 at the University of Virginia Hospital in Charlottesville. He founded the Culpeper News in 1975, which he owned until 1993.
