Rappahannock County came out as relatively wealthy on the statistics used. The median household income given for the county was $36,726, compared to a state average of $31,457, and only 19.3 percent of students qualify for free or reduced-price lunches, compared to a state average of 34 percent.
Attendance was measured based on the percentage of students who miss 10 of fewer days of school. For Rappahannock County that was 59 percent, compared to a state average of 69 percent
